Ethical Clearance
Given that scholarly research may involve human participants, all manuscripts submitted to the Journal of Digital Economic Studies must demonstrate full compliance with established ethical approval and research governance standards. Authors are required to ensure that their research adheres to recognized ethical principles, including but not limited to the following:
-
Safeguarding the physical, psychological, and social well-being of research participants, while maintaining strict confidentiality;
-
Identifying, assessing, and minimizing any potential risks or adverse effects associated with participation;
-
Avoiding undue intrusion into participants’ autonomy, dignity, or personal circumstances;
-
Obtaining informed consent through clear, voluntary, and comprehensible procedures;
-
Respecting participants’ rights to privacy, anonymity, and data protection;
-
Ensuring fair and appropriate compensation for participation, where applicable;
-
Acknowledging and protecting participants’ intellectual property rights over any contributed materials;
-
Where relevant, meaningfully engaging participants within the research design and implementation process.
For a more detailed articulation of these ethical principles and procedural requirements, authors are encouraged to consult the journal's supplementary ethical guidelines.
